October Stamp of the Month Bloghop

Hello!  Welcome to the October SOTM Bloghop featuring, "Yuletide Joy", a stamp set with seven images.  It is so pretty; you are sure to see some beautiful work on the bloghop!

There are 37 Close to My Heart Consultants participating this month.  Each has made a blog post.  You will look for links to connect to the next post in this big loop of posts.  Most people hop in a forward motion, but you can always go backwards.

I'm following Vickie ODell this month.  I'm sure you enjoyed her post.  The next person following me is Michele Rowley. You will also be touched by her post, too.

But as for my artwork...I made a greeting card for the ladies at my card class to make.  It is a shaker card.  I had tried to use some vellum for the window to look frosty due to chilly weather, but I couldn't see well enough inside the window.  So I just used the plastic from an old Cricut mat and ran it through my Cricut machine using an image from the Art Philosophy cartridge (now retired).  Since I'm mentioning the cartridge, I'll say that the black frame is also cut from it.

Here is the card:

This is the list of what I used:

  • Swan Lake Paper Packet for the Peacock w/white dots B&T sheet
  • White Daisy Cardstock
  • Black Cardstock
  • Gold Sequins
  • Red & Striped Sequins from the Florence Assortment (retired)
  • Iridescent Sequins from a local craft store
  • Snowflake Sequins from the same craft store
  • Cranberry Baker's Twine (retired)
  • Cranberry Exclusive Ink Pad
  • Carmine ShinHan Marker
  • Vivid Green ShinHan Marker
  • 4.25"x5.5" card base
  • Recycled plastic sheet from Cricut Cutting Mat
  • Mini Glue Dots
  • 3-D Foam Tape
  • 3L E-Z Dots Adhesive
  • Fiskars Paper Trimmer
  • Micro-tip Scissors

It was fun to create this card. The October Stamp of the Month can be yours for just $5 with an order of just $50. You can reach that amount by getting the papers and inks alone to make my card!   Click here to order yours from my Online Business Address (OBA).

August 2016 Stamp of the Month Bloghop

Welcome to the August 2016 Stamp of the Month Bloghop featuring, "Purr-fect Halloween".  You will see the work of twenty+ participating, CTMH consultants and it is sure to please.

You are moving in a large loop to visit the pages of all the bloggers.  You may have just been on  Michelle Loncar's blog.  When you are ready Gina Brandstetter is ready to show you her work.

I decided to make an everyday greeting card because most of my customers don't appreciate Halloween.  So it seems to be a great card for cat lovers, but at least for anyone CRAZY!!!  And I'll be encouraging my girls to stamp a birthday sentiment inside.

Products used:

  • Florence B&T
  • Poppy cardstock and Pacifica cardstock (retired)  Peacock cardstock is recommended.
  • Watercolor paper (only because I tinkered with painting the cat)  White Daisy cardstock is great instead.
  • ShinHan Markers:  WG4 Warm Grey, Y222 Golden Yellow, B262 Cerulean Blue Lt, and R11 Carmine
  • Exclusive Ink:  Poppy, Safron, and Peacock
  • Tuxedo Ink
  • My Acrylic Blocks
  • Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge
  • White Enamel Stars
  • Black journaling pen to draw hearts onto stars
  • Rose Gold Foil Tape
  • Florence Sequins (rose gold tone)
  • 3L E-Z Dots Adhesive
  • 3-D Foam Tape
  • Quilling Tool (to lift and place embellishments

June 2016 Stamp of the Month Bloghop

Hello!  Welcome to this fabulous, June 2016 edition of the CTMH Consultants', Stamp of the Month Bloghop!!  Prepare to see some wonderful artwork using "The Long Way Home" stamp set.

You will be looking for links in all the posts which will take you in order through the hop.  You may be here now because you were last at Maureen O Sullivan's blog.  Following me, you will be visiting Kathy Burrows' Blog.

I created a card that can have various purposes.  It's intended to be masculine and for Father's Day, but easily could be a birthday card.

I used the June SOTM, September SOTM, and A Typeface Stamp Set for images.  The B&T is from Calypso Paper Packet and there is White Daisy and Black cardstock.  Inks used were Pomegranate, Honey, Lagoon, and Black.  Accents are Black and Gold Ribbon, Sequins from Calypso Sequins, and retired Black Enamel Stars.  It's hard to see that I popped the tiny camera with a small bit of 3D Foam Tape.  Otherwise I used our EZ-3L adhesive.  The car is not popped; it's just outlined in black cardstock which makes it look 3D.

That's it, pretty simple!  Give it a try...

April 2016 Stamp of the Month Bloghop

Hello and welcome to my post for the April 2016 SOTM Bloghop featuring "Life in Pictures".

I am one of 29 CTMH, participating consultants.  You will encounter wonderful examples of ways these fine folks used "Life in Pictures".  Just hop onboard the revolving train and look for links in each person's post for where you'll hop next.  Eventually you'll make your way back to your starting point.

Maybe you hopped to me from Helen's blog.  Glad you are here now.  Your next stop will be Donna's blog.

But for now, here is what I made with "Life in Pictures".  It's an easel card!

I wanted to celebrate relationships by creating a card as a photo op suggestion for recipients.  I think the whole stamp set lends itself to scrapbooking a special event.  But what to do for card makers was my question.  I think it works!

I used Life in Pictures Stamp Set, Birthday Calligraphy Stamp Set, the Art Philosphy cartridge, Springtime Wishes Thin Cuts for the flower, Sapphire Cardstock, Desert Sand Cardstock, Colonial White Cardstock, Regatta B&T, Tuxedo Black Ink, a retired Pearl Gem, retired Colonial White Designer Ribbon, a retired clear button with black Waxy Flax (also retired) threaded through the holes, a sheer ribbon from a craft store, Base & Bling Adhesive Strips, Mini Glue Dots, 3L E-Z Dots Adhesive, Floral Embossing Folder, Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors, a paper trimmer, and our soon-to-be retired Score Board.

It was a multi-stepped card which is challenging, but so worth the effort!

Remember that the April Stamp of the Month is available April 1 to April 30.  You can order yours on my shopping site,  It retails for $17.95 or just $5 with a qualifying order of $50.

A Special Card For Friends

I was inspired by sister consultant Shirley Ross to make this card.  I saw her gorgeous card and decided it was hard to perfect "perfection"!  All I added was a sentiment on the inside right behind the central stamped image so that it doesn't show until one opens the card.

We made it at my March card class.  You are welcome to join my group every month on the third Tuesday at 4-6pm.  Just be sure to RSVP so I can have enough materials cut and ready for you.

Spring Cards for March Gatherings Using CTMH's Penelope Paper Packets

Marteena is the hostess for my March Gathering.  She selected two cards for her guests to make.  Spring is the theme and Penelope papers are featured this month.  My hostess likes to send birthday cards and she loved the sentiment, "Hello There".  These are the two cards I created, following two very talented CTMH Consultants, for Marteena's party.

You may decide to be the hostess for my next Gathering!  It's a great chance to spend time with your friends, do some papercrafting, and earn some free product to use for your passion!!  Leave me a comment or email me to get a spot on my Spring calendar to have your own party!  Let's see what we can do!!!

I've created a young boy's birthday card using "Balloon Animals".  I saw the layout pattern on Pinterest by one of our CTMH consultants, Denise Elliot.  Here's what I did:
