May 2016 Stamp of the Month Bloghop

Welcome to the May 2016 Stamp of the Month Bloghop!  I am one of 33, CTMH Consultants eager to share with you how they used "Celebrate with Cake", the featured stamp.

You may have jumped to my page from Sarah Stone's Blog by clicking on her link to me.  When you are ready you will simply click on my link to Jeanie Burch's Blog.  Keep clicking on the links within each person's posts and you will make your way back to where you started.  And do enjoy all the stops along the way!  We all hope you are inspired!

I have made a simple birthday card because sometimes we want to send a homemade card to a friend, but don't want to spend a ton of time on it.  I focused on the slice of cake to do something different using the cake platters.

Products I used:

Georgie B&T
Whisper Cardstock
Watercolor Paper
AP Cricut Collection
Confetti Embossing Folder
Glacier Extra Thick Twine
Waterbrush (now in Seasonal Expressions 2)
Honey Exclusive Ink
Whisper Exclusive Ink
Juniper Exclusive Ink
Sunny Yellow Exclusive Ink (retired)
Tuxedo Black Ink
Grey Enamel Gems (white only)
Non-stick Micro-tip Scissors
Mini Glue Dots
3L E-Z Dots Adhesive
3D Foam Tape
5.5"x4.25" Card Base

Remember that "Celebrate with Cake" is available May 1 to May 31.  Click here to purchase yours or contact your regular consultant.

February 2016 Stamp of the Month Bloghop

Hello and welcome to the Stamp of the Month Bloghop featuring, "Balloon Animals".

This Bloghop features 40 participating, Close to My Heart consultants.  Each has created something to inspire you and give you ideas to use this month's SOTM.  You can begin the hop, which is a cycle through all the blogs, at any place.  Look for a link imbedded in each post for where to click.  You will be taken to the next person in the order.  In my case, you may have just been reading Dana Kessler's Blog.  When you have finished reading mine, go see Paige Dolecki's Blog.  Just keep jumping and you'll eventually get back to where you began.

I've created a young boy's birthday card using "Balloon Animals".  I saw the layout pattern on Pinterest by one of our CTMH consultants, Denise Elliot.  Here's what I did:

I used one sheet of B&T from the Charlotte Paper Pack, Whisper Cardstock, Sorbet Cardstock, White Daisy Cardstock, Black Cardstock, Honey Ink Pad, Black Ink pad, Whisper Thick Twine, Gold Sequins, 3L E-Z Dots Adhesive, and 3D Adhesive Tape.  Of course there is a standard card base under it all!

Don't miss the chance to buy this adorable stamp set during February.  Just click here to get yours from my online retail site.  When your purchase reaches $50 you can get it for $5.  Otherwise, it stands alone for $17.95.

September 2015 Stamp of the Month Bloghop

Welcome to the September 2015 Stamp of the Month Bloghop featuring "Paper Garden", a stamp set of 10 images.

This may be your launching page.  Or, you may have come here via Jacquelin Green's fabulous post. Whatever the case, when you are done looking at my page, you will click on the link below which will take you to the next blog in this hop.  It's one big loop and eventually you will be back where you started.  There is a list of the bloghop order at ifyoublingit.blogspot.com.

The gals that come to my classes are mostly interested in making cards.  So I created a card without a sentiment so that it can be used for multiple occasions.  One can easily add a font using our cricut cartridges or with fundamental stickers.

The base is the grid-like B&T from Zoe.  The image is stamped with Cocoa Pigment Ink onto the arrows B&T also from Zoe.  I used Whisper Cardstock to frame the image.  Before adhering the framed part, I added Teal, White, and Coral Glitter Tape.  I'm in love with the accessory splash from our new, Annual Expressions 2015-16 so I did a version of this in two corners using Aqua Dots and Silver Sequins.  Of course I used our 4.25x5.5 card base from the White Daisy Value Pack and the 3-L E-Z Dots Adhesive.

You may order Paper Garden by clicking here or contacting your local consultant.

Next you'll visit Kathy Burrow's amazing post to see what else you can do!

July 2015 Stamp of the Month Bloghop

Welcome to the July 2015 Stamp of the Month Bloghop! This month we are featuring, "Life is Wonderful", a wonderful stamp set.*

This is a bloghop that features MANY talented Close to My Heart Consultants.  If you started at the beginning of the blog, your last stop was most likely Lori Brown's blog.  When you finish on my post, click on this link to go to Michelle Stewart's Blog.  It doesn't matter if you are hopping forwards or hopping backwards because this is one big loop.  If you get lost along the way, you'll find a list of the order at ifyoublingit.blogspot.com.

I made a greeting card to use at my next card class.  Because the beach on the Oregon Coast is my favorite place to think, "Life is Wonderful", I made a card that feels all beachy.  You are welcome to think of your favorite beach when you look at this card!!!  I combined three stamp sets into this image:  July SOTM, Seaside WOTG, and Ice Cold Summer.

I fell in love with the cabana look created when using the Seaside Paper Packet, retiring Smoothie Striped Washi Tape, Teal Shimmer Trim, Sorbet Cardstock, Glacier Cardstock, Colonial White Cardstock, and Coral Reef Sequins.  The inks I used were Sorbet, Hollyhock, Desert Sand, Glacier, and Pear.  Non-Stick Micro-Tip Scissors and 3L E-Z Dots Adhesive were the basics I used.

Remember that the July SOTM is only available between July 1 and July 31, 2015.  Click here to order yours or visit with your own consultant.  Have fun creating with "Life is Wonderful"!

Stamp of the Month Bloghop for May 2015

Hello!  Happy May Day!!

Welcome to the May 2015 Stamp of the Month Bloghop!!!
This month we are featuring, "Just Sayin'", a stamp set with 14 images.

By completing the bloghop you will be treated to the artwork of 68 participating, CTMH consultants.  This page is mine, but you may have come here via http://www.stampologist.com/2015/04/may-sotm-blog-hop-just-sayin.html.  When you are ready hop on over to Lela Norris' Blog.

I spent a while looking at this stamp set trying to decide what to do.  After several searches on Pinterest, I found a route that I could go with and decided to make a spiritual card.  But it could easily be about something else such as coffee..."Anything's Possible with Coffee...Full of Goodness".  After all isn't there a classic coffee ad with something like that?  I then found a layout that seemed to work for me by LeAnn.

I wanted to use Jackson papers, so I made a manly card.  Here it is ...

I wanted to use up some embellishments from my stash.  Don't you remember corporate telling us to use what we have and quit hoarding?!!  So you will see Cocoa Grosgrain Ribbon, Houndstooth Washi Tape, and Color Ready Kraft Borders from the past.  Current products I used were Jackson B&T (available starting today through July 31), Colonial White Cardstock, Juniper Cardstock, and Cocoa Exclusive Ink.  Adhesives were a Tombow Gluestick and 3-D Foam Tape.  I used a green marker for the handwritten words, but I'm sure we have a Shin Han Marker perfect for this.

You will be able to purchase this stamp set during this month only for $5 with a qualifying order. Adding Jackson paper will help you get there and also this month only we have "Taste of Summer" papers and stamp set to celebrate National Scrapbooking Month.  You are invited to place an order here.

Enjoy the rest of the bloghop whichever direction you are moving!

April 2015 Stamp of the Month Bloghop

Welcome to this month's Stamp of the Month Bloghop featuring, "Typed Note".

Prepare to see some wonderful projects using this versatile stamp set.  This month there are 67 CTMH consultants participating in this bloghop.  In each post there will be links to the before and after blogs.  So you may have come to mine via Stefani Ewing's Blog.  When you are ready, just click on Gina Brandstetter's Blog to go to the next one following me. Should you have a problem during this hop you can visit Melinda Everett's Blog for a complete list of the bloghop order.

I have created a birthday card appropriate for a guy.  It was so easy to make.  I stamped the vintage typewriter image on White Daisy cardstock using Sunset Ink Pad and stamped the sentiment with Glacier Ink Pad.  I used the Sunset colored B&T from the new, Blossom Paper Packet and did second generation stamping in Lagoon Ink of the pointed index finger image to make a different pattern.  I stamped the same image with Lagoon Ink Pad in regular stamping on White Daisy.  After I fussy cut it out, I attached a bow from Glacier Extra Thick Twine with a mini Glue Dot.  The whole image was adhered with 3-D tape.  Everything else was attached with EZ Dots tape runner.  I applied our blue sequins from a retired WOTG, but our Lagoon Dots would work nicely.  The base is 4.25" x 5.5" regular card from our Value Pack of cards and envelopes.

The "Typed Note" Stamp set is available only in April of 2015.  You may qualify to purchase it for $5 or pay $17.95 outright on my retail site nancysheart2heart.ctmh.com.  Your own consultant will offer it, too.

Enjoy the rest of the SOTM Bloghop and thanks for stopping by!  Nancy

February 2015 SOTM Bloghop

Welcome to this month's edition of the SOTM Bloghop featuring CTMH's February Stamp of the Month, "A Happy Hello".

You are about to experience a wonderful hop of almost 70 CTMH consultant bloggers representing what each has done using this February SOTM stamp set.  You can start anywhere in the loop and look for highlighted words in the blog posts for the next participating consultant.  Or you can go backwards on this hop by looking for who the preceding blogger was in each post.

For instance, you may have come to me by way of Dawn Ross' Blog.  When you have finished with my post you will go see what Gina Brandstetter has done.  If you want to see the complete list of bloggers just visit If You Bling It.

So I created a greeting card for my group of card makers using the colors from the "Hopscotch" Paper Packet.  I wish I'd used a larger card base because the flower looks bit to powerful for the stem stamp.  But I try to stay with a standard card base for this class.  So I've decided that my flower has a whimsical look.  Don't tell anyone that this was not my original intent!

I stamped the largest 1/2 flower to create a circle on Sunset Cardstock using Sunset Ink then fussy cut this out.  I stamped the next largest size flower onto White Daisy cardstock with Glacier Ink.  Then I used an embossing pen and dabbed it on the small dots on the perimeter and the inner ring.  I adhered Dutch Blue (retired) Embossing Powder to this and set it with our Craft Heater.  When it was cool, I cut around the flower so that the dots are on the edge.  I stuck this to the Sunset flower with 3-D Foam Tape.  I chose one of the medium images and stamped onto White Daisy CS using Flaxen Ink and used our new 1" punch to cut it out.   Within this I stamped the small "mum" type flower in Flaxen also.  I added a touch of Gold Glitter Gel to the very center. When this was dry, I popped it onto the medium flower with another piece of 3-D Foam Tape.

The stem was stamped right onto a 4" x 5.25" White Daisy Base with Ponderosa Pine Ink.  I added the little leave image to poke out just under the multi-layered flower.  I just used Tombow adhesive to stick down the flower over most of the stem.

The framed phrase at the bottom was made with the Art Philosophy cartridge. I needed to find a skinny frame to contain the phrase.  Even then, I still had to mask the bottom flourish to fit the words, "A Happy Hello" within the space. The two cardstock colors are Sunset and Glacier.  I tied a piece of the Flaxen Extra Thick Twine around it, put more 3-D Foam Tape under it and glued it down below the stem.  It actually covered some of the stem.  The border is the blue patterned B&T from Hopscotch Paper Packet cut at 4.25" x 5.5".  Stick this onto a standard card base and you have a greeting card!

That's it!!  Thanks for stopping by!  Nancy

Stamp of the Month Bloghop for June 2014

Welcome to the Stamp for the Month Bloghop!

This month we are featuring "Kaboom", a stamp set of 16 images.

You are about to see many marvelous creations by the 50+ contributing consultants.  You can join the bloghop here or anywhere and follow links for the next landing pad.  Anytime you get lost along the way, click here for a complete list of the bloggers.

You may have come from the amazing Michelle Johns' BlogWelcome to my blog to see my creation!

I made a birthday card because my two grandsons have birthdays in early July.  The sentiment can be changed to announce the birth of a child, wedding reception news, or whatever.  The options are endless!

I almost used exclusively CTMH product, but I deviated with the polka-dot grosgrain ribbon.  I wanted to use it up!  Now for the CTMH product besides the Kaboom stamp set, I used Balloon Ride Papers, Ruby Cardstock, White Daisy Cardstock, Red Shimmer Trim, gems from the Red Base & Bling Jewels, Ruby Exlcusive Inks Pad, Honey Exclusive Inks Pad, Outdoor Denim Exclusive Inks Pad, Black Exclusive Inks Pad, 5.50 x 4.25 White Card from Value Pack, 3-D Foam Tape, and Tombow Adhesive.  I cut the ovals from a product of a retired company.  You can use our Cricut Cartridges instead.

You can get the stamp set, Kaboom for $5 with a $50 order.  Click here to order yours now.

Okay, now it's time to jump on over to Terry Ann Diack's Blog so you can see her awesome work.

Card Kits for May 2014

Father's Day is on the horizon!  I always try to make guy cards at this time.  Then I send one to my uncle and save the rest for all the men's birthdays for the summer and fall seasons.

I am excited to send the Happy Camper card to my BFF because she is going "camping" this June.  Last year she pitched her tent and then saw all the bees and ants in the campsite.  That was it for her; she packed up and rented the one remaining cabin at the resort!!

On another note, I made a "card in a box" which mails in a regular envelope.  They are such fun to make and can easily be adapted for any occasion.

Each kit below will come with full assembly directions.  You will have precut papers, ribbons, and embellishments to make five cards.  I will prestamp for you or you can buy the stamp set(s) used to complete them.  Under each card kit are options for purchase.

Here are the kits...

May 2014 Stamp of the Month Bloghop

Welcome to the May 2014 Stamp of the Month Bloghop!  This month we are featuring,"You've Got A Friend", a stamp set with 5 images.

The bloghop is super easy.  You can start with any consultants blog post because it is a big circle.  Hop on and follow the links imbedded in each post.  You may have come my way via Sheila's Blog where you saw her awesome art.  At the end of this post I will show you who's next.  If you get lost at any point, click here for a list of all the participating bloggers.

I decided to use the stamp with the apple saying, "You are the Apple of My Eye".  I used this phrase every year in my classroom.  Fond memories and a wonderful phrase from the Bible.  I fashioned a card inspired by Jennifer Bennett, another CTMH consultant who makes wonderful creations.

I used:
5.5" by 4.25" card base
White Daisy Cardstock
Free to Be Me B&T and Cardstock
Gold Polka-Dot Washi Tape
Lagoon Houndstooth Washi Tape
Smoothie Striped Washi Tape
Black Pigment Ink
Black Mini-Medley (retired)

My card is very simple and can be done with many papers and ribbons.  I hope you will want to recreate it.

Now, hop on over to Maria's Blog to see what fabulous art she has made.

SOTM Bloghop for April 2014

Welcome to the SOTM Bloghop for April 2014!  We are excited to have you onboard!

This bloghop features the stamp set, "Balloon Talk" which has 24 stamps.

You are going to see some amazing art by the 54 participating CTMH consultants!  The bloghop is a big circle so you can start at any place and then just chose the next blog to keep going.  Or you can go backwards around the loop!  So the blog before mine, which you may have seen then hopped to me is Dawn Ross' Blog.  When you are finished with mine, click on Susan Brooks' Blog to hop to the next.  If you get lost along the way, there is a list of bloggers at http://ifyoublingit.blogspot.com/p/stamp-of-month-blog-hop-list.html.  When you are done, you'll want to get started crafting right away!!  Here is a link to my retail site so you can get your hands on stuff you see!

I chose to make a greeting card (back to my comfort zone from my departure last month)!  Initially I did not know what to do with the "balloons".  Then I decided to pair them with a stamp from another set.  I chose "Pick-A-Posey" from our current Idea Book.  But I had to come up with an idea that didn't need very much B&T since I'd already used so much in the March Bloghop.  So I found a layout in the Idea Book which I just altered a bit.  Here is what I did:

The products I used are:

  • April SOTM
  • Pick-a-Posey stamp set
  • Ariana paper pack
  • White Daisy cardstock
  • Sorbet ink pad
  • Olive ink pad
  • Crystal Blue ink pad
  • Slate ink pad
  • Ariana Assortment (the bow)
  • Neutral Metallic Baker's Twine (Slate)
  • Microtip scissors
  • Tombow, 3-D Foam Tape
  • Cardbase 5.5 x 4.25
I like how it turned out, but it was a struggle!  I was so tired when I started that I actually made so many mistakes.  Don't look closely because you will see them!!  Lesson learned:  Don't try to create something from scratch when I am exhausted already because I was frazzled by the time I finished!

The April SOTM is only available from April 1 to April 30.  Don't miss the opportunity to get it because it is so versatile.  Click here to order yours!  With a $50 order you can get it for $5!  Or just order it for $17.95.

Now click on Susan Brooks' Blog to see what fantastic art she has created!
