SOTM Bloghop for September 2013

Hello and welcome to the SOTM Bloghop!  This month we are featuring, "Poster Tidings", a stamp set with two images.

You have probably come her via  Karen Fullam's Blog.  It's one big circle so you can start anywhere.  If you get lost at any point, go to http://www.hookedonstamping.com/
for a complete list of participatingconsultants.

I have created a Fall card because I have "fallen" for this stamp set!  When I first saw it I didn't know what to do with it.  Then my upline, Karen Varcoe showed me how to take a portion of it and stamp that onto a 2.5 x 2.5 square of cardstock.  I was hooked!  One can get many different images just by stamping different portions of each image.  I decided to make sure mine said, "Fall" on top.  I wanted to convey early Autumn things so I made sure it didn't include the "November" line.  Here is my card:

Products I used:

Sarita Paper Pack
Artbooking Cartridge
Bronze Shimmer Trim
Jute Ribbon
Durable Studs
Wood Mini Medley
Outdoor Denim Ink Pad
Slate Ink Pad
Sponge
Tombow Adhesive
3-D Foam Tape
Liquid Glass
Card Base measuring 4.25 x 5.5 inches

I cut the pumpkin shape with the new Artbooking cartridge set at 11.50 to get a large shape.  The cardstock for my words measures 2.5 x 2.5.  The Outdoor Denim cardstock is 4.0 x 5.25.  The pattern paper measures 4.25 x 5.5.

The pumpkin and square piece were sponged in Slate.  The words are stamped in Outdoor Denim.  I cut a narrow piece of a different pattern at 3/8ths x 2.75 inches and stamped only one line of the words.  I attached it with 3-D foam tape.  Then I used Tombow to stick the word piece to the pumpkin.

To build the base I layered the dark cardstock onto the pattern piece.  I glued down the two ribbons next.  You will need to use Liquid Glass to tuck the Jute behind.  You can just trim the shimmer tape.

I took a piece of the wooden flourishes and glued it in place on the dark cardstock with Liquid Glass.  After a few seconds I attached the pumpkin on top of my "blinged out" base with 3-D tape.  I put three little durables at the bottom left of the pumpkin.  I glued this whole base onto my card base.  You can use Tombow, but use Liquid Glass where the Jute meets the card base.  That's all there is to it!

Now hop on over to Kristine Ponte to see the amazing work she did!  Remember that this stamp set is available only during September.  To find out how you can get yours for $5 click here.

Enjoy the rest of the Bloghop.   Nancy
