October Stamp of the Month Bloghop

Hello!  Welcome to the October SOTM Bloghop featuring, "Yuletide Joy", a stamp set with seven images.  It is so pretty; you are sure to see some beautiful work on the bloghop!

There are 37 Close to My Heart Consultants participating this month.  Each has made a blog post.  You will look for links to connect to the next post in this big loop of posts.  Most people hop in a forward motion, but you can always go backwards.

I'm following Vickie ODell this month.  I'm sure you enjoyed her post.  The next person following me is Michele Rowley. You will also be touched by her post, too.

But as for my artwork...I made a greeting card for the ladies at my card class to make.  It is a shaker card.  I had tried to use some vellum for the window to look frosty due to chilly weather, but I couldn't see well enough inside the window.  So I just used the plastic from an old Cricut mat and ran it through my Cricut machine using an image from the Art Philosophy cartridge (now retired).  Since I'm mentioning the cartridge, I'll say that the black frame is also cut from it.

Here is the card:

This is the list of what I used:

  • Swan Lake Paper Packet for the Peacock w/white dots B&T sheet
  • White Daisy Cardstock
  • Black Cardstock
  • Gold Sequins
  • Red & Striped Sequins from the Florence Assortment (retired)
  • Iridescent Sequins from a local craft store
  • Snowflake Sequins from the same craft store
  • Cranberry Baker's Twine (retired)
  • Cranberry Exclusive Ink Pad
  • Carmine ShinHan Marker
  • Vivid Green ShinHan Marker
  • 4.25"x5.5" card base
  • Recycled plastic sheet from Cricut Cutting Mat
  • Mini Glue Dots
  • 3-D Foam Tape
  • 3L E-Z Dots Adhesive
  • Fiskars Paper Trimmer
  • Micro-tip Scissors

It was fun to create this card. The October Stamp of the Month can be yours for just $5 with an order of just $50. You can reach that amount by getting the papers and inks alone to make my card!   Click here to order yours from my Online Business Address (OBA).

Welcome to the July 2015 Stamp of the Month Bloghop! This month we are featuring, "Life is Wonderful", a wonderful stamp set.*

This is a bloghop that features MANY talented Close to My Heart Consultants.  If you started at the beginning of the blog, your last stop was most likely Lori Brown's blog.  When you finish on my post, click on this link to go to Michelle Stewart's Blog.  It doesn't matter if you are hopping forwards or hopping backwards because this is one big loop.  If you get lost along the way, you'll find a list of the order at ifyoublingit.blogspot.com.

I made a greeting card to use at my next card class.  Because the beach on the Oregon Coast is my favorite place to think, "Life is Wonderful", I made a card that feels all beachy.  You are welcome to think of your favorite beach when you look at this card!!!  I combined three stamp sets into this image:  July SOTM, Seaside WOTG, and Ice Cold Summer.

I fell in love with the cabana look created when using the Seaside Paper Packet, retiring Smoothie Striped Washi Tape, Teal Shimmer Trim, Sorbet Cardstock, Glacier Cardstock, Colonial White Cardstock, and Coral Reef Sequins.  The inks I used were Sorbet, Hollyhock, Desert Sand, Glacier, and Pear.  Non-Stick Micro-Tip Scissors and 3L E-Z Dots Adhesive were the basics I used.

Stamp of the Month Bloghop for May 2015

Hello!  Happy May Day!!

Welcome to the May 2015 Stamp of the Month Bloghop!!!
This month we are featuring, "Just Sayin'", a stamp set with 14 images.

By completing the bloghop you will be treated to the artwork of 68 participating, CTMH consultants.  This page is mine, but you may have come here via http://www.stampologist.com/2015/04/may-sotm-blog-hop-just-sayin.html.  When you are ready hop on over to Lela Norris' Blog.

I spent a while looking at this stamp set trying to decide what to do.  After several searches on Pinterest, I found a route that I could go with and decided to make a spiritual card.  But it could easily be about something else such as coffee..."Anything's Possible with Coffee...Full of Goodness".  After all isn't there a classic coffee ad with something like that?  I then found a layout that seemed to work for me by LeAnn.

I wanted to use Jackson papers, so I made a manly card.  Here it is ...

I wanted to use up some embellishments from my stash.  Don't you remember corporate telling us to use what we have and quit hoarding?!!  So you will see Cocoa Grosgrain Ribbon, Houndstooth Washi Tape, and Color Ready Kraft Borders from the past.  Current products I used were Jackson B&T (available starting today through July 31), Colonial White Cardstock, Juniper Cardstock, and Cocoa Exclusive Ink.  Adhesives were a Tombow Gluestick and 3-D Foam Tape.  I used a green marker for the handwritten words, but I'm sure we have a Shin Han Marker perfect for this.

You will be able to purchase this stamp set during this month only for $5 with a qualifying order. Adding Jackson paper will help you get there and also this month only we have "Taste of Summer" papers and stamp set to celebrate National Scrapbooking Month.  You are invited to place an order here.

Enjoy the rest of the bloghop whichever direction you are moving!

April 2015 Stamp of the Month Bloghop

Welcome to this month's Stamp of the Month Bloghop featuring, "Typed Note".

Prepare to see some wonderful projects using this versatile stamp set.  This month there are 67 CTMH consultants participating in this bloghop.  In each post there will be links to the before and after blogs.  So you may have come to mine via Stefani Ewing's Blog.  When you are ready, just click on Gina Brandstetter's Blog to go to the next one following me. Should you have a problem during this hop you can visit Melinda Everett's Blog for a complete list of the bloghop order.

I have created a birthday card appropriate for a guy.  It was so easy to make.  I stamped the vintage typewriter image on White Daisy cardstock using Sunset Ink Pad and stamped the sentiment with Glacier Ink Pad.  I used the Sunset colored B&T from the new, Blossom Paper Packet and did second generation stamping in Lagoon Ink of the pointed index finger image to make a different pattern.  I stamped the same image with Lagoon Ink Pad in regular stamping on White Daisy.  After I fussy cut it out, I attached a bow from Glacier Extra Thick Twine with a mini Glue Dot.  The whole image was adhered with 3-D tape.  Everything else was attached with EZ Dots tape runner.  I applied our blue sequins from a retired WOTG, but our Lagoon Dots would work nicely.  The base is 4.25" x 5.5" regular card from our Value Pack of cards and envelopes.

The "Typed Note" Stamp set is available only in April of 2015.  You may qualify to purchase it for $5 or pay $17.95 outright on my retail site nancysheart2heart.ctmh.com.  Your own consultant will offer it, too.

Enjoy the rest of the SOTM Bloghop and thanks for stopping by!  Nancy

Stamp of the Month Bloghop for March 2015

Welcome to the March 2015 Stamp of the Month Bloghop featuring "Choose Happy"!

You are visiting a bloghop of over 70 participating, CTMH consultants this month.  You'll jump from blog to blog by clicking on the provided links.  You may have just been checking out Alyson Mayo's Blog.  After looking at mine, you will click on Pamela Ellison's Blog.  For a complete list of the bloggers visit ifyoublingit.blogspot.com.

I decided to change it up a bit this month and decorated our cupcake box.  I wanted to do a concept of a memento guests could take with them following an Easter Brunch.  This would be something they could add pictures or do journaling to later.  Instead of a cupcake, there would be something lasting inside the box.

I wanted to do something crafty inside the box, but didn't have time to get it together.  But here is a magazine view from an advertisement in "Parent Magazine" of my plans.

The actual supplies I used for the decorated cupcake box are:
  • Designer Creations Cupcake Box
  • Brushed Paper Pack
  • Brushed Assortment
  • Sparkles Black Flourishes
  • White Daisy Card Stock
  • Exclusive Ink - Pear, Black
  • Retired Marker - Sunny, Cranberry
  • Silver Metallic Pen (not ours)
  • Black Journaling Pens (retired)
  • 3-D Foam Tape
  • Bonding Memories Glue Pen
  • Adhesive Tape Runner
  • Topiary Mini Chevron Ribbon
I believe that's what I used!

Remember that "Choose Happy" is only available in March 2015.  You can click here to order yours or connect with your consultant.

Enjoy the rest of the bloghop!

Do You Want to Preserve Your Valentine Memories? I Have a Scrapbook Kit for You!!

I've been hearing that woman (and men) want to preserve their digital pictures into scrapbook albums but don't have time.  Traditional scrapbooking is very time consuming and MESSY!  I used to spend hours on just one layout and have my photos and materials all over my kitchen table.  Being one who doesn't like to stop when I am working an idea meant that dinner could just wait.  Too bad hubby!!  I won't be making dinner until I'm finished or I will forget what I was thinking.  And furthermore, I won't be cleaning up this project that has overtaken the table because that would be a waste of time and time is precious!!

Well, if this resembles your experience, I have good news!  You can get back into scrapbooking without committing your whole day and sacrificing meals for the family!!

I have begun to develop scrapbook kits with the popular, Picture My Life cards from Close to My Heart.  I spent just 90 minutes developing four layouts because the PML cards are so wonderful.  I just picked two or three per page and plopped them onto a 12"x12" base, cut and stamped some cardstock and stuck them down, added some Washi Tape and a few embellishments and I had pages ready for pictures.

And I'm making it super EASY for you to duplicate what I've done via a kit for purchase which should take less time than when I developed it!  Each kit will contain precut and stamped cardstock pieces, four 12"x12" cardstock bases, PML cards (they may vary), and enough Washi Tape and embellies to add the finishing touches.  Full, colored photo of the layouts are included, too.

What are you waiting for?  Order yours now with the secure, PayPal button below the images of this February kit.  I'll ship it out in one to two days from receipt of purchase.

Thanks for you business!!  Check back often for new kits!  Nancy

February 2015 SOTM Bloghop

Welcome to this month's edition of the SOTM Bloghop featuring CTMH's February Stamp of the Month, "A Happy Hello".

You are about to experience a wonderful hop of almost 70 CTMH consultant bloggers representing what each has done using this February SOTM stamp set.  You can start anywhere in the loop and look for highlighted words in the blog posts for the next participating consultant.  Or you can go backwards on this hop by looking for who the preceding blogger was in each post.

For instance, you may have come to me by way of Dawn Ross' Blog.  When you have finished with my post you will go see what Gina Brandstetter has done.  If you want to see the complete list of bloggers just visit If You Bling It.

So I created a greeting card for my group of card makers using the colors from the "Hopscotch" Paper Packet.  I wish I'd used a larger card base because the flower looks bit to powerful for the stem stamp.  But I try to stay with a standard card base for this class.  So I've decided that my flower has a whimsical look.  Don't tell anyone that this was not my original intent!

I stamped the largest 1/2 flower to create a circle on Sunset Cardstock using Sunset Ink then fussy cut this out.  I stamped the next largest size flower onto White Daisy cardstock with Glacier Ink.  Then I used an embossing pen and dabbed it on the small dots on the perimeter and the inner ring.  I adhered Dutch Blue (retired) Embossing Powder to this and set it with our Craft Heater.  When it was cool, I cut around the flower so that the dots are on the edge.  I stuck this to the Sunset flower with 3-D Foam Tape.  I chose one of the medium images and stamped onto White Daisy CS using Flaxen Ink and used our new 1" punch to cut it out.   Within this I stamped the small "mum" type flower in Flaxen also.  I added a touch of Gold Glitter Gel to the very center. When this was dry, I popped it onto the medium flower with another piece of 3-D Foam Tape.

The stem was stamped right onto a 4" x 5.25" White Daisy Base with Ponderosa Pine Ink.  I added the little leave image to poke out just under the multi-layered flower.  I just used Tombow adhesive to stick down the flower over most of the stem.

The framed phrase at the bottom was made with the Art Philosophy cartridge. I needed to find a skinny frame to contain the phrase.  Even then, I still had to mask the bottom flourish to fit the words, "A Happy Hello" within the space. The two cardstock colors are Sunset and Glacier.  I tied a piece of the Flaxen Extra Thick Twine around it, put more 3-D Foam Tape under it and glued it down below the stem.  It actually covered some of the stem.  The border is the blue patterned B&T from Hopscotch Paper Packet cut at 4.25" x 5.5".  Stick this onto a standard card base and you have a greeting card!

That's it!!  Thanks for stopping by!  Nancy

December 2014 Stamp of the Month Bloghop

Hello!  Welcome to this edition of the Stamp of the Month Bloghop!!

I'm smack dab in the middle of my retail job ramping up for Christmas, specifically two days of Black Friday so time is a commodity.  Please bear with me if this post seems simple.  I gotta get her done with another long day tomorrow.

This Bloghop features the exclusive, CTMH stamp set, "Cutie Pie".

There are so many talented consultants participating in this hop.  You might have just been on the post of Michelle Jones.  After mine, you will move on to see Donna Digby's blog.

I had hoped to decorate our design decor cupcake box because of the obvious connection. But I'm out of time this month.  But alas I did get a card made earlier.  Here it is:

I used some of the colors and B&T paper from the new paper set, Heartstrings.  I love pinks and teals on dark brown. So the actual colors are Hollyhock, Lagoon and Cocoa.  It's hard to see, but I embossed the background with our dot embossing folder.  I paper pierced the cupcakes with cardstock.  There are Flamingo Dots adorning each cupcake and a retired Cocoa Grosgrain tying it all together.

If you would like to order this adorable stamp set, check in with your own consultant or click here to go to my retail page.  The set is $17.95 unless you put together a $50 order at which time you can buy the stamps for $5.

Thanks for spending time on this bloghop.  And...

Thanks for stopping by!  Nancy
