SOTM Bloghop August 2013

Welcome to the August SOTM Bloghop!  This month we are featuring "A Chocolate Affair", a set of 16 stamps.

This bloghop is a big circle, meaning you can start viewing the blog posts by participating consultants at any point along the way.  You've probably come here from Melinda Everitt's Blog.  If you get lost along the way, there is a list of the 59 consultants at Helen Onulak's Blog.

I love this stamp set and can see many possibilities for it!  I designed a "sweet" little card that I think can be used for multiple occasions.

Products I used:

ProPlayer Paper Packet
Black Cardstock
White Daisy Cardstock
White cardbase measuring 5.5" x 4.25"
Ruby Chevron Ribbon
Bitty Sparkles
Sparkles Clear Flourishes - Small
2" Scallop Punch (retired)
Chocolate Ink Pad
Ruby Ink Pad
Ponderosa Pine Ink Pad
Tombow Adhesive

The chocolate-dipped strawberry was created by stamping the image once in Chocolate, once in Ruby, and once in Ponderosa Pine.  Then I cut out the red berry part and the green stem and glued them onto the brown berry stamped image.  I then cut the three-color image as one unit.  I did the same technique on the cupcake.

The rest of the card was layered.  If you have any questions, leave me a comment and I'll get back to you.

Now hop on over to Pam Jarrett's Blog to stay on the Bloghop trail.  Remember "A Chocolate Affair" is available only during August.  Check with your consultant or click here to see how you can get yours for FREE this month only-a very sweet deal!

Thanks for stopping by!  Nancy

SOTM Bloghop for July 2013

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Bloghop!  This month we are featuring, "Sweet Life", a set of 9 stamps.

If you've come here from Kim Schnoor's Blog, you are on the trail.  The bloghop is one big circle, so once you get started you can make your way around by clicking on the link at the bottom of each blog.  If you get lost at any point, find a complete list of the 50+ participating consultants at Kathleen Androlewicz' Blog.

I have made a versatile card using "Sweet Life".

It was easy to make. I stamped the peach image and the phrase, "You're A Peach" with Chocolate ink on White Daisy Cardstock.  Then I colored it in with markers:  The peaches with Creme Brulee, the leaves with New England Ivy, branches with Chocolate, and the center of the flower with Honey. I placed three sparkles from the Brown and Tan Assortment in the bottom, left-hand corner.  I matted the stamped image on Surf's Up Teal which is available only in the Surf's Up Paper Pack.

The paper sections in this card are all from Surf's Up.  The card is a standard 5.5 x 4.25.  So the Teal piece measures 5.25 x 1.5, the flowery Sorbet B&T piece is 5.25 x .5, and the Crystal Blue B&T piece is 5.25 x 2.25.  These are all adhered with Tombow adhesive.

On top of this layer, I adhered three Chocolate Cardstock pieces matted on Sorbet Cardstock.  The dimensions of the Chocolate Cardstock are 3 x .25. The Sorbet pieces are 3.25 x 1.

Finally, I popped the matted peach image, centered over all the layers, with 3D Foam Tape.

Products I used:

Surf's Up Paper Pack
White Cardstock
Chocolate Stamp Pad
Chocolate Marker
Creme Brulee Marker
New England Ivy Marker
Honey Marker
Brown & Tan Sparkles
3D Foam Tape
Tombow Adhesive

Now "hop" on over to Pam Jarrett's Blog, to see her creation with "Sweet Life".  The July SOTM is available until July 31.  Contact your CTMH Consultant or click here to see how you can get this stamp for $5.

I hope you enjoyed my card!  Nancy

"Beachy" Card Kits for July 2013

It is Beach Season!  I absolutely love going to the Oregon Coast!!  I have been going since I can remember...fond memories of my weeks at Cannon Beach; basking in the sun, listening to the crashing waves, tasting salt water taffy, smelly the salty air, seeing Haystack Rock against a backdrop of blue from the ocean and the sky.  Ahh, I feel relaxed already!!

With beach season in mind, I am offering four beachy card kits this month.  I haven't figured out which one I like best...every time I made one, I liked it better than the previous one.  Each kit will include full assembly directions for one design (the one you choose) to make five cards.  Precut papers and ribbons and all embellishments are included.  I will prestamp for you or you can order the stamp set I used and I will send a mini, black, pigment ink pad.

The cards are as follows:

Bright, Summery Card Kits

Today is my first day of summer vacation!  I have been subbing since I retired last June and today was the last day I would be available this season.  So no more "on-call" status until next fall!

To recognize this refreshing time of year, I have several card kits to unveil.  The bright colors of exclusive Dream Pop papers (CTMH, no longer available) are evident in all of the cards.  Each kit includes 5 cards for you to make.  You can also order the stamp set and a mini, pigment ink pad or I can do all the stamping for you.  Either way, each kit has precut papers, ribbons, all embellishments, card bases and envelopes, and full-color instructions for assembly.  They are all so fun to make!

The first three are inspired by my  CTMH sister, Susan Williams:
"Just a Note"

"Miss You"

"Happy Birthday"

"Apple of My Eye - Girl" (also can be "Boy") inspired by my CTMH sister, Ginger Hollner

The next three all come as one kit (15 total DIY cards).  They were inspired by coorporate designers at Close to My Heart and use the May SOTM, Pinwheels.  They are simple to make, but make a big impact!

"Pinwheel Trio"

Order right away so you can get these in your hands and out to your "peeps" without delay.  You will love each of these cards this summer!!

SOTM Blog Hop for June 2013

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  This month we are featuring, A Flowering Bunch, a set of 10 stamps.

If you have come here from Judy Faye's Blog, you are on the right path!  The blog hop is one big circle, so you can start here and make your way around.  If you get lost along the way, find a complete list of participating consultants at http://hookedonstamping.com.

This month over 60 Close to My Heart Consultants are sharing their creations using this June's SOTM and other CTMH product on their blogs.  Visiting their blogs is easy - just click on the link at the bottom of each blog and you will hop right over to the next one!  Let's get started!

I made a Thank You card using, A Flowering Bunch.

I cut the flower from our Cricut Artiste cartridge at 2" on White Daisy Cardstock (CS) and 2.25" on Honey CS. I cut the leaf from the same cartridge at .75" on White Daisy CS and 1" on New England Ivy CS.  I stamped the petals in Honey ink on the white flower and glued it to the Honey CS flower for emphasis. I also did the inking of the leaf in New England Ivy ink and glued it to the matching CS.  The daisy in the center, which is a retired product, is sponged in Honey ink.  I stuck it to the CS with a glue dot.  To cap off the flower, I tied a sparkle button from the Black and White Button Assortment with Black Waxy Flax and glued it in the center of the daisy with a glue dot.

The card base is Honey CS and measures 5.50" x 4.25".  I cut four rectangles from the "For Always" paper pack using four different B&T's.  The column on the right is slightly larger than the column on the left. I used a zip strip from the paper pack to cover my edges.  Believe me, it was difficult to measure the four rectangles and get them to line up evenly!  Hopefully not for you!!

Before I glued all the rectangles down, I stamped the phrase, "Thanks A BUNCH" on my lightest B&T.  All the B&T pieces were glued in place using Tombow adhesive.  The final touch was glueing on my flower and leaf.

Products I Used:

For Always Paper Pack
Honey CS
New England Ivy CS
White Daisy CS
Black Stamp Pad
Honey Stamp Pad
New England Ivy Stamp Pad
Black Sparkle Button
Black Waxy Flax
Sponge
Glue Dots
Tombow Adhesive
Daisy flower - retired.  (I don't know the actual name!)

Now, "Hop" on over to Kathy Corson's Blog to see how she used A Flowering Bunch!  Each blog is full of inspiring ideas so don't miss any.  Remember, the June SOTM is only available until June 30.  Contact your CTMH consultant or click here to see how you can get this stamp for $5.

Card Kits for June 2013

Wedding Season is here!!  I don't know about you, but I am preparing to be invited to many weddings this summer!  So I have created three card kits around this theme.  I also am offering a classy, birthday card, a charming, "thinking of you" card, and a trendy, thank you card all by way of kits.  Each of the kits have the Close to My Heart paper pack, "For Always" incorporated in them by either patterned paper, cardstock, or textiles.

In case you don't know, all my kits come with precut papers, ribbons, and all the embellishments.  I will also prestamp if you prefer.  Or if you are adding stamps to your collection, you can buy the designated stamp set and a mini, black, pigment stamp pad and do all your own stamping.  Either way, papers will be precut, including all the cricut cut shapes!  I will include complete directions for assembly.

Come take a look at the six, new kits...
