Card Kits for December 2013

Christmas is now just around the corner...are you ready? I am not, but I am working on getting there! I've been eyeing some items to give at my favorite new store. I have selected some new recipes for the annual, Christmas cookie bake in my kitchen. And I have cards designed and ready to make for my holiday card mailing. I will actually make about 80 cards by hand.

To make things a wee bit easier for you, I have two, new Christmas card kits using CTMH's "Frosted" papers plus a birthday card kit using "Babycakes". I am sure you have a birthday to celebrate between now and January 2014. If not, just return to this post when you need one and order the kit then.

Each kit comes with full, assembly directions and precut papers and embellishments to make five cards. If you want all three kits, you can order them all and I may be able to ship them together for less than ordering one at a time.

SOTM Bloghop for November 2013

I have made a greeting card and here it is:

I used a "Starburst Technique" which I first learned from Susan Williams. Here is a link to her tutorial. http://justcrazyblessed.blogspot.com/2013/05/starburst-tutorial.html The rest of the card you can probably figure out: Just good ol' stamping, cutting and adhering! I did use black pigment ink for the lantern so that it wouldn't bleed when I colored it in. If you have any questions, leave me a comment and I'll get back to you.

Card Kits for November 2013

Christmas is my favorite holiday! It is a joy to celebrate Jesus's birth!! When I make cookies, decorate my house, shop at the mall, I like to remember that all these actions are a means to celebrate. Somehow it helps me get through the "to-do list" when I focus on The Lord.

I love sending Christmas cards to my friends and family. It's a chance to connect with them. For the last two years they have all been handmade. So I am excited to share three of the designs I will use in making about 80 cards this year! The last one you see is super simple if you are looking for one to be done quickly. I hope you find something you could use.

Remember that when you purchase a kit you will get complete assembly directions and precut papers and embellishments to make five cards. You have a choice of letting me do the stamping for you or buying the needed stamp sets, which are exclusive to Close to My Heart, and doing your own stamping. If you want to get the stamp sets, I will order them for you after I receive your payment. It will take about 5 days for them to arrive before I can ship you your kit.

Card Kits for October 2013

I love the fall because of the beautiful, holidays - Thanksgiving and Christmas. I have created three cards for these holidays. Mostly Thanksgiving, but one Christmas which uses the October SOTM.

In each kit you will have precut papers, embellishments, and cardbases to make five cards. I will prestamp if you desire or you can buy the stamp set and I will add a mini, pigment, black ink pad. Full assembly instructions are included.

SOTM Bloghop For October 2013

Hello and welcome to our SOTM Bloghop! This month we are featuring the October SOTM called "Scandanavian Wishes", a set of 12 images.

I have been so excited to use this stamp because I am Scandinavian. I grew up seeing these images because of my 100% Swedish aunts. Aunt Lilly still lived there and often sent us gifts, especially the orange horses. I didn't make the horses that color in my art so don't try to find them! Just know that they are traditionally orange.

I have designed a Christmas card this month. It will be fun to send to my Swedish cousins here in the US.

Card Kits for September 2013

I have been watching the trees these past few days and wondering when they will start turning colors. I love summer and really don't want to see the green go away, but it must to have all the seasons. But I feel relieved when I don't notice any orange yet!! (Hey,I am just being honest. Trying to keep it "real".)

But even though I am not excited to end summer, I am getting ready for our first, autumn holiday - Halloween. I created one "Spooky" card just for that occasion. When you see it you will see the comedy in the word, "spooky" because it is everything except spooky! And for folks that don't celebrate Halloween, I have some really cute cards about the fall season.
